Former General Counsel of The Knot Worldwide to Oversee all Legal Functions at the Live Selling Company
Huntsville, Ala – April 26, 2022 –CommentSold, the leading digital commerce solution that enables retail businesses to unlock sales growth through live and social selling, today announced that it has appointed Andy Olek as Chief Legal Officer. Olek has expertise in fast-growth software, advertising, marketplace, and ecommerce businesses and will oversee the legal affairs of the live selling company, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, intellectual property and licensing, privacy and compliance. He has particular experience in scaling fast-growth companies to rapidly add new products, services and geographies.

Before joining CommentSold, Olek was the General Counsel at WeddingWire and its successor, The Knot Worldwide, for over 9 years. There, he founded the legal team that oversaw multiple acquisitions, obtained a large private equity investment and took its larger public competitor private in a merger. Before The Knot, Olek had in-house legal roles at Blackboard and Merkle and was a corporate and intellectual property attorney at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLC. Previously, he began his leadership roles by serving in the U.S. Navy.
Olek is a registered patent attorney and holds a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy, an M.A. from the University of Maryland, an M.S. in Information Technology from the University of Maryland and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
